Let's look at the past altcoin seasons, when they started and how long they lasted. And most importantly, did the current price of Bitcoin affect the growth of altcoins?
Let's start with the LTC coin. It began its high season in 2017 in November at $53 and ended on December 18 at $350. The growth was accompanied exactly by the growth of Bitcoin. It also grew from November 2017 to December within one month.
The next bull season, LTC also began to grow in November 2020 and ended its rally in May 2021 with an absolute record of $400. Bitcoin that year also grew from November but until April. It can be considered that both coins showed the same growth, which lasted about 5 months.
Now let's take the Cardano coin.
In 2017, the Cardano coin started its high season just like Bitcoin in November. And ended on January 4. The growth lasted 2 months.
Cardano started the next bullish season at the end of December 2020 at a price of $0.18 and ended its rally in September 2021, reaching the $3 mark. The growth lasted almost a whole year. There are differences with Bitcoin here. In September, Bitcoin cost $50,000 and continued to grow until November 2021.
The Doge meme coin started its super growth in April 2021 and ended in May. One month of growth, but what a growth! The coin was able to shoot from $0.05 to $0.73. At the same time, Bitcoin was at its maximum price of $61,000. So these coins also grew at the same time.
The Ripple coin began its bullish season in December 2017 and ended in January 2018, just like Bitcoin that same year. Ripple began its next high season in March 2023. Then Ripple was able to rise in price from $0.41 to $1.8 in April. Let us recall that Bitcoin froze at $27,000 in March - April 2023. Here, the difference in the growth time periods was radically different.
The Solana coin began its rally in August 2021 and ended in November of the same year. Exactly like Bitcoin. At the end of 2023, it grew exactly like Bitcoin. In 2024, too, when Bitcoin grew, Solana grew too.
The first Alt-Season for the Tron coin began in December 2017. Then the coin was able to rise in price 100 times from 0.002 to 0.23 dollars. All this lasted for about 3 weeks.
In 2021, during the second alt season, Tron also rose in price for about one month from March to April 15. Bitcoin behaved in the same way. However, Bitcoin rose in price from November to April.
The AVAX coin during the first alt season rose in price for only 2 weeks from February 1 to 14, 2021. At that time, Bitcoin rose in price for 5 months in a row. The next rally for the AVAX coin began in August 2021 and lasted until the end of November of the same year. Bitcoin also rose in price from August to November 2021.
So, with rare exceptions, all coins behaved the same way as Bitcoin. Based on this, we can conclude that the current altseason will last either one month, as in distant 2017, or about 5 months, as in 2021. The chances are 40% to 60%.
